WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

Visitors to our Site can access the Site’s home page and browse the Site without disclosing any personally identifiable information. Firefighter Toolbox may also collect personal information when you provide it to Firefighter Toolbox, such as by submitting to the Site content of the Site, requesting e-mail updates and newsletters, reminders for events, special dates or offers, purchasing materials or products, participating in a webinar, responding to a survey or questionnaire from us, or when you provide comments, suggestions and submissions to us via the Site or otherwise. We use a third party provider to process credit card payments; we do not maintain and/or store any credit card information.  PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION

Our payment gateway and processor offers the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into the payment gateway provider's database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose personally identifiable information from customers for commercial purposes in violation of the commitments set forth in this Privacy Policy.

EXCEPTIONS TO PRIVACY POLICY

While we are committed to keeping your information secure and private, we have the following exceptions to our Privacy Policy: We will release specific information about you or your account to comply with any valid legal inquiry or process such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute or court order. Firefighter Toolbox does not externally distribute personally-identifiable information of a user of the Site, except if a user specifically opts-in that certain of its personally-identifiable information be distributed to a third party, or if necessary to protect the rights of Firefighter Toolbox or others. External distribution does not include certain limited distributions such as sharing personally-identifiable information with a third party working on behalf of Firefighter Toolbox, transfer of personally-identifiable information in connection with the sale of Firefighter Toolbox’s assets or the merger of Firefighter Toolbox or the disclosure of personally-identifiable information in connection with legal proceedings, investigations of crimes, or other governmental investigations. Transferring personally-identifiable information in connection with a sale or merger and sharing personally-identifiable information with an entity or person working on behalf of Firefighter Toolbox is considered an onward transfer to third parties and is permitted under this policy.

 Because we value your privacy we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. California’s privacy standards are very high and we strive to live up to those strict standards. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent except as noted above. 

At this time we do not respond to DNT (Do Not Track) signals.

Pursuant to Section 1798.83 of the California Civil Code, residents of California can obtain certain information about the types of personal information that companies with whom they have an established business relationship have shared with third parties for direct marketing purposes during the preceding calendar year.  CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT (COPPA) COMPLIANCE

We are in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).  We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website, products and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older. We recommend that anyone under 18 years of age participate and use our website, products or services only with parental permission and supervision.

We do not intend to collect any personal information from children under the age of 18. If a parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with such personal information would like the information deleted from our records, he or she should contact us at the email address listed at the bottom of this policy statement. We will then delete the child's personal information from our files.

This online Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our website and not to information collected offline.

MEMBER ACCOUNT, PASSWORD and SECURITY 

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, if any, and are fully responsible for any and all activities that occur under your password or account. Please immediately notify Firefighter Toolbox of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security.

Any user that accesses all or any part of this Site, or subscribes for newsletters or e-mail notifications and other information, or submits content to our Site for posting on the Site agrees and represents that such user is at least eighteen (18) years old and that such user has consented to this Privacy Policy. Each time a user accesses this Site, this Privacy Policy should be reviewed because Firefighter Toolbox reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time without prior notice.
